Seaspray Australian Labradoodles

Mike, Jack and I just sat down to type you an update.
He is so amazing! He is doing very well, adjusting very well. Seems to know like he belongs here. He sat on the couch with us last night and would have to be touching one of us, like leaning or sitting on our lap. He would sit right up and watch every superbowl commercial. He was so fascinated with our large TV.
He slept a lot on the ride home. He seemed to like the little crate. Initially, he didn't like being in it all closed up.
When we got home, we introduced him to his new toys and he just goes from toy to toy. We just crack up at different things he does. He just loves you to lay on the floor and play! The ACKK! noise works wonders when he bites or chews something he shouldn't.
When we got home, he ate well. He's been eating well today too. Knows where his water dish is, and will go running in the kitchen for a drink.
He did great in his crate last night. It seemed like as long as he knew we were there, he was fine. I put him in it and left the room for a moment. He whined immediately. As soon a I came back in, he stopped and lay down. We turned the lights off and he slept til 7:30. We had to wake him up. He was pooped out from a big travel day.
He is doing great getting busy! It's pretty unbelievable. People are so surprised.
We are so grateful for all that Seaspray did. The training really paid off. It's amazing how much he knows and I think there would be many more challenging adjustments. All of the tips and the schedule really help. THANK YOU!
We'll keep you updated as the week goes on. He's just so funny and playful. We just love him!

I think Sydney is bonding already with us and I know we are with her. She really is so gentle and sweet. While still very much a young puppy she shows signs of much intelligence and a willingness to learn. My neighbors all think she is special. Everywhere we take her she draws attention. People want to know where we got her, what kind of dog she is and they always comment on her striking looks. We took her to the beach Sunday for a first walk and she loved it and everyone that saw her loved her. I took her to a groomer downtown today and it was the same way. She also did very well there looks terrific. Once she finishes with her shots (March 23rd) we will get her into a training class. We also want to look into canine good citizen certification (Maryann’s idea).
Anyway, we know how busy you are but we had to say thanks. We really mean it. You (Leslie) and Peggy are quite a team. Your efforts to develop these dogs and give them a good start are bound to impact many families in a positive way. From this family you should know you had an impact. We will keep following your work on the website.
All the best.

I just had to write and tell you a funny story. This morning I got Blue Belle up at 6:00 to bring her outside. We came in after only 20 minutes and she had taken care of business. I sat down on the floor with her just to pet and massage her and she crawled right into my lap (I was sitting pretzel style) and curled up in a little ball and fell asleep for another half hour. It made me so happy that she feels so comfortable. She has really been so amazing, Leslie. She is such a great little puppy. She seems to be having so much fun with my kids and their friends. She is exhausted at night. I can't keep her awake much past 8:30 and she does sleep through the night. The past two weeks (almost) have been great. Thanks again!

Dear Peggy,
There are no adequate words to describe the incredible experience one has from start to finish when becoming the forever home for a Seaspray Australian Labradoodle puppy.
To begin with, Doodle Days give you such an excellent opportunity to see the various sizes, colors, coats, etc. in the Seaspray family. Peggy and Leslie take the time to introduce all of their dogs..and any puppies that are in attendance. Usually there is also a brief program on something pertinent to Australian Labradoodles, i.e. training tips, grooming tips, etc.
After the puppies are born, there are weekly updates, with pictures, telling their weight and other interesting information about them. Peggy also has a webcam which allows you to watch the puppies at all times...it is awesome!
At about seven weeks of age, the puppies are temperament tested and matched to their future families...this means that you get the perfect puppy for your family situation. Your new puppy may join your family when it is eight weeks old...or, it can be enrolled in the three week puppy head start program..and I highly recommend this. It is truly amazing how well behaved your puppy will be after this training.
I have had my handsome Tebow for only two weeks, but already know that he is the perfect addition to my family. I want to train him to be a therapy dog...going to schools, nursing homes, rehab centers, etc. Yesterday, I took him to church with me (remember he is only three months old) and, while I was in a meeting, a complete stranger took him to meet a group of women who were knitting and crocheting. Then he was taken to a room where there were sixteen little children. The children immediately swarmed to him which frightened him momentarily, but he then quickly allowed the children to pet him. Not many puppies would be so loving and trustworthy.
Also yesterday, while walking Tebow, twice I was stopped by men in trucks...one commented that he had never seen such a stunningly handsome dog and the second (who I found out lived a few streets away from me) said, "this must be Tebow", and said he had heard lots of rave reviews about him from neighbors.
If you are looking for a perfect pet, look no further than the Australian Labradoodle AND if you want a fabulous dog from a fabulous breeder, look no further than SEASPRAY.
